The Jazz June started their eight year run in 1996 in a small town in Pennsylvania named Kutztown. The 5 of them all met at Kutztown University and started playing shows in basements and garages throughout Kutztown. The band took favorite aspects of indie rock, punk and post hardcore and made it their own.

Kitty Party

Kitty Party is a small band consisting of 4 guys who hang out a lot together and generally like being around each other and other people. They wish secretly and overtly that more people were in the band, but really hate the idea of rounding up more people to practice so they keep it to the current roster of Tyler, Jason, and Dave.( Recently, they made Josh so mad that he agreed to play bass, albeit loudly.) Jason is of Jason Choi and the Sea, Dave was of Look Mexico

Glös

It all started as a few musical file transfers from laptop to laptop in a van while touring Europe as the band Engine Down, and ended as a full-blown album of musical compositions by means of the internet from opposite corners of America. Glös started as Keeley Davis (former frontman of Engine Down and bass/synth player for Denali) and Cornbread Compton (former drummer of Engine Down, Biology, and currently Heavens). After collaborating on over 20 songs and having never physically played the songs together in a rehearsal environment, the duo decided to take even more advantage of the freedom that this style of writing offered. They invited Keeley's sister Maura Davis (former frontwoman of Denali) to join the project and to add her beautiful, sultry vocals to the songs that already seemed perfect for her.

LaSalle

A dynamic threesome from central Michigan, LaSalle are post-rock balladeers featuring the husband/wife team of Mike & Katy Reed plus long time friend and drummer Dan Jaquint (Mike & Dan of Small Brown Bike fame). LaSalle begins where Small Brown Bike left off, capturing the same brand of catchy rock with punk rock roots and an indie aesthetic. The difference now is a certain maturity, and the diversity provided with male/female vocals.

"They make desperate songs about addiction, isolation, hope, murder, sex, and Mexico. In spite of the dark subject matter they’re quite catchy and have led one writer to opine that Pela’s music recalls what might happen if Modest Mouse hitched a ride on U2’s wide-horizon rock’n’roll tour bus.” There's also a definite Bruce Springsteen influence that can be heard.The live recording posted is from when they opened for Rainer Maria at the Bowery Ballroom the night before Rainer Maria's last show and is of fairly good quality.
